CAMBIO OBJETO POR DIBUJO / TO CHANGE AND OBJECT FOR A DRAWING

To Change an Object for a Drawing is a situation in which I offer my things (clothes, books, toys) in exchange for the picture that the person interested in the exchange makes of the chosen object. I am interested in proposing the idea of barter and generate a space of dialog and experimentation with the drawing. At the beginning usually everybody says “I don’t know hot to draw”, and as the hours passes everybody enjoys the activity. It was done by first time in the streets of Lima in 2006, a couple of times in the main street of the beach town Juanchaco, in Colombia, 2010. In 2024 was done in Malmo, Sweden at the coffee place Jesus Baren, thanks to an invitation made by Fuxia 2, in the context of the show La Tierra y el Mar.

Cambio Objeto por Dibujo es una situación en la que yo solo ofrezco mis cosas (ropa, libros, juguetes) a cambio del dibujo que la persona interesada en el intercambio haga del objeto elegido. Me interesa proponer la idea del trueque y generar un espacio de diálogo y experimentación con el dibujo. Al principio normalmente todos dicen “no sé cómo dibujar”, y a medida que pasan las horas todos van disfrutando de la actividad. Se hizo por primera vez en las calles de Lima, un par de veces en la calle principal del balneario de Juanchaco, en Colombia, y la última vez en Malmo, Suecia en la cafetería Jesús Baren, gracias a una invitación realizada por Fuxia 2, en el marco de la muestra La Tierra y el Mar.
